Rediscover the ancient center of Pantalica, from the imposing canyon to the prehistoric necropolis.

Between the cities of Ferla and Sortino emerges Pantalica, an amazing  archeological jewel which became a World Heritage Site in 2005.
Natural reserve and one of the biggest necropolis of Europe, Pantalica has  more than 5000 catacombs carved in stone.

As a witness of the primitive history of the island, Pantalica represents the point of contact between the indigenous and the first invaders.

In our journey we will visit the necropolis, the villages, the Byzantine churches and the Anaktoron,  an ancient  Prince’s residence.
