Le Case di Sant’Andrea is the right place if you want to switch off and spend a few days relaxing surrounded by an uncontaminated oasis of peace, where the nature of the Iblei Mountains reigns supreme.

A few kilometers from Buccheri, this agriturismo is an ancient 16th century rural hamlet finely restored keeping the original characteristics of the small rural village. It will capture you with its quiet rooms, zero km food and the kind welcome of the Ferlito family, which has long cherished this place rich in history and charm.

As soon as you cross the entrance, the Piazzetta Matrice welcomes you, an intimate terrace with a breathtaking view of the intact landscape that surrounds the village: around you there is no sign of human works, only the green of the woods and olive trees as far as the eye can see for miles. It is a view that takes your breath away and that you can enjoy sitting comfortably in a chair while sipping a good wine or looking out of your bedroom window.

The 10 rooms are all made in the old blocks of the farm, restored with local materials such as wood, terracotta and sandstone. They all have independent entrances, bathrooms and panoramic views.

The cuisine, simple and genuine, combines the typical dishes of the Sicilian tradition, with natural ingredients of the territory, and is performed with passion by the family ladies. The restaurant, housed in one of the buildings overlooking the small square, offers around 60 seats. Breakfast is full of typical homemade products and is served in a small room, also located in one of the buildings of the village, with a striking stone vault.

There are a playground for children, the organic garden and the olive grove.

For trekking or biking lovers, it is possible to hike around the farmhouse, up to the stream that flows into the valley or reach the nearby Necropolis of Pantalica. A few steps from the farm you can visit the Church of Saint Andrea, a medieval church built by Federico II, it was the last outpost of the Templars before embarking to the Holy Land. Le Case di Sant’Andrea is the ideal place if you love the countryside, good food and nature walks, where you can restore your body and your mind from the toils of everyday life and the noises of the city.
